So which is true?!? Did it sell big or not??!?! I am reminded of the brouhaha over the Kimye Vogue cover. Some suggested that Vogue was publicizing the numbers in order to justify having Kimye on the cover at all, since so many were vocally critical of the choice. How does People benefit by publicizing that folks were not that interested in buying the mag / had already been sated by photos posted online? Might this be the first step towards tabloids having to rethink what sells, and their business model more generally?

The wording is confusing but bottom line is that this specific issue is outperforming (in sales) the per issue average over the first 6 months of 2014 by 20%.

I guess it's one of the best selling issues of the year, but that still is way less than what they were expecting. Being on the top 20% is good for the average cover, not for one of two really famous actors whose wedding rumours had fuelled gossip magazines for almost a decade and now finally was happening and with exclusive pictures.

It was the first issue I bought in about 2 years. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Interested enough to look at her dress online because I didn't even have to search for it , not remotely interested enough to actually buy the magazine. That's me, anyway.
