    Toronto needs Doug Ford.

    I've never been to Toronto, or even Ontario, but I'm 100% certain that Toronto does not need Doug Ford. It could probably survive Doug Ford, but it certainly doesn't need it.

      From the articles I saw around the time the crack video came to light, I got the impression that Rob was supposed to be the big lovable face of the Fords while Doug was the guy who did all the dirty work. Basically the Dick Cheney of the team.

      Toronto is in my prayers.

      "The Doug Ford campaign announced today that it will be following the successful campaign strategy employed by Rob Ford and will release to Gawker a video that purports to show Doug Ford snorting cocaine off a hooker's ass and smoking PCP. The Doug Ford campaign vehemently denies the existence of said video, but if it pops up, the campaign denies that it is Doug Ford in the video (but it really is ;-D )"

          My feelings about this aren't really so cavalier as I pretend. I'm with you, I wouldn't wish cancer upon anyone. But this creature was willing to do whatever to remain in office, powerless Torontonian obstacles be damned. I find it's difficult to dredge up any genuine sympathy for him.
