I really wanted to chime in in agreement with Mara Wilson, but your comment made me laugh, so I'm officially on team be-annoyed-with-gluten-free-fad.

FWIW, my mom, aunt, and sister all have celiac disease, confirmed with biopsy and everything. While the gf trend has meant that they have more food options, it also means that people just assume they're dieting and don't take their need to not eat gluten seriously.

I know that this is completely thread-jacking and awful, but I'm 15 need advice.

I'm a high school sophomore who just got asked out by an adorable senior, who is my best friend's close friend. He has been in relationships before, is funny, cute, shy-ish, "popular," and very kind. I have been asked out before to homecoming and stuff, but never really on a date-date. (!!!!!)

He has come out to my friend as bi and recently got out of a long-distance relationship with a guy. He broke up his last relationship because his parents found out and totally freaked. I don't know what that means, but he told my friend that he has no feelings for Ex, and hadn't for a while. I don't know if he knows I know, (he was only "out" to like 5 people) but whatever. Also my other longtime friend is being judgey about his orientation, (I did not expect that from her) which I don't see as a problem at all. so how do I even deal with that? I guess just am confused about my feelings of being in a relationship with him soon after his last one ended. I really like him, and I believe he cares for me- so, good?!

I am sort of writing this because I just want to get my feelings out on this, but also because I NEED MAJOR ADVICE ON EVERYTHING FOR A FIRST-FIRST DATE

    1. how does one kiss (I really don't want to mess up!)

    2. outfit ideas? It's a movie date and will probably be a million degrees out

    3. is it weird for a sophomore to date a senior? clearly I am not looking for an LDR, but I'm (shamefully) afraid of judgement from others in my really small class

ok, I am soo sorry again for thread-jacking, but I just need advice from the awesome people you are. thanks a milllion!!!! and sorry for the essay

Not weird for a sophomore to date a senior. I would wear something loose-fitting but still casual and more friend-date than spicy-hot-date, like a sundress with a layer to throw on cause movie theaters are freezing cold. How does one kiss? Maybe he can teach you. It ain't like the movies, but I think you'll get the hang of it pretty quick.

About the kiss - You go with what YOU feel comfortable with. Honestly you learn to kiss as you go. No one I know was good at it the first couple times. I will say however you can always tell when someone intends to kiss you and when they just let it happen. You can avoid a lot of awkward or unnecessary situations if you pay attention to that last bit.

Alright friends, explain like I'm five: I'm struggling with NPH's status. Explain! "n" and "d" equal "and"? "band" like a wedding band? "husba"...? Dammit, I love them and their absurdly cute family and I just feel dumb on a Monday. Harrumph.

aidy, you probably could, but the 'cookie' would taste like hot, wet balls. the dog 'cookies' also taste like hot, wet balls. it just happens that dogs love the taste of hot, wet balls. they are monstrously unhygienic animals.

unrelated, why's everyone gotta be hating on my toe shoes? i have wide feet. these are the only shoes that don't smash my toes together to the point they start growing into complementary shapes. how good is your life if you can afford to be so freaked out by what shoes i'm wearing?
