If I get a massage or something and my thoughts just run, I think about the stuff I'm going to do, the stuff I've done, just ideas really.

Why is it odd that a PhD student who is also wealthy and inordinately busy would get a massage to have an hour to rest and let random thoughts take him away from everyday tumult? Or is it just vogueish to criticize everything Franco says or does?

I'm not a big Franco fan, but I do respect that he's active in multi-disciplinary artistic and educational pursuits. Most people with his fame/looks/wealth these days seem to be spending time getting in trouble in bars in Ibiza.

It's not the massage that amused the Gawker crowd but his way of articulating his thought process, which is well below the bar for Ivy League Ph.D. candidates.

I remember just having "The Essential Calvin & Hobbes" in a small bookshelf in my bathroom. Just flip to a random page while on the can and that was all the mid-poop entertainment I needed.

You should give that as a gift someday and not tell the person where it came from. I'm talking about the book, not the poop.
