      I would assume that the police could say the man was creating a danger to other drivers by causing the woman to potentially drive in an erratic fashion. Unless we are all in some 80s action movie in which case I'm too old for this shit.

          Annnnddd.... that is where she is making her Big Mistake. She needs to file charges and move far, far away, telling no one where she is going. This guy could straight up end up killing her. We have seen time and again that the law really cannot protect someone in these kinds of straits.
