This is the aquarium I most went to as a kid. I started reading these comments fully expecting someone to comment about how it's a house of horrors and terrible. Nothing concrete yet, but I'll keep scrolling.

Is it a bad one? I grew up going to the New England Aquarium in Boston which I believe is one of the supposed "good" ones. My soon to be sister in law always wants to go every time she comes up with her kids from NY and I always leave in tears. I'm pretty sure she thinks I'm crazy. I can't help but think about how much happier those penguins would be in the wild. At the same time they aren't getting eaten by polar bears or anything so what do I know!

Are hippos the silliest looking largeish animal in the world?

All mammals are pretty silly, when you think about it.

Manatees definitely win the "large animal derp award" by a mile.

Or maybe it's an emperor cichlid? Since there aren't south american hippos, and they're presumably going for a sort of biope.

That is not cute, that is terrifying. Hippos kill more people every year than sharks. Protect your children. Always be aware. Hippos are not to be trusted.

Not even Hippos will get people to visit Camden....

Fix Paterson, Asbury Park, Newark, and Atlantic City first and then tackle the monster that is Camden

      Simple my friend,

If you "fix" Paterson you fix a lot of problems in Northern NJ. Most of the heroin that's flooding small towns in Morris and Bergen counties comes from Paterson/Newark.

Crime in that area in general would take a hit if you fixed Paterson

If hippos weren't renowned for their salty nature and 'quick to maul you' temper, I'd want to go swimmin' with this one because she's so cute!
