    As someone living in Belfast, I prefer people coming here to see where the fake violence was filmed rather than tourists coming to the poorest parts of the city to gawk at the paramilitary murals etc.

        The 'haha aren't you foreign people hilarious with their ways' tone is mostly found on most European stories here. It is, alas, kinda expected for me.

        And considering the amount of shit NI has been through the last few decades, you'd think people would be glad about this kind of thing. I only assume it is because the default tone for 'i don't know much about this country' outside of comfort zone reporting.
