Yes, that episode makes me laugh so much. I love her for that, and I'm sad she's now dead!

It's a trainwreck of an episode, but O'Mara is so campy and great in it. The wardrobe changing sequence is either a low or a high for Doctor Who, depending on how you look at it.

in which O'Mara squared-off against the acclaimed sixth incarnation of The Doctor, played by Colin Baker.

Now you're just trolling Dr. Who fans.

Not if you listen to the Big Finish audio plays, Colin Baker shines there.

Colin Baker was still a better Doctor than Eccleston.

The older you get, the younger 74 sounds. That sounds really young to be in a nursing home. :/

Of course she is also remembered in Britain for her starring rolls In Howards Way. a soapy drama set amongst the South coast of Englands yacht building community and the all rich people involved.

Her most infamous role was the lead in the three season soapy drama Triangle. For some reason set on a Car Ferry that plied the Felixstowe, Gothenburg and Amsterdam run. She was supposed to be a glamorous mysterious passenger who lived permanently aboard the ferry. She was a trooper though as the show tried to sell you it was all so glamorous ( which might have worked for anyone, who has never actually set foot in one) the best example being her sunbathing on the Deck near the Bow. She was supposed to be sunkissed yet she was very obviously near the edge of Hypothermia.

While only eight or so when it was on therefore thinking it was brilliant, it is still regarded today as the worst television show ever produced in the UK and therefore has high cult status today and has a dedicated following among those who like to watch high camp and get drunk in groups.

Though those who appreciate a good scenery chewing performance should also check out Stephanie Beachem's turn as 'Connie' a tough as nails rag trade boss who was self made and was not going to let anyone take it all away from her. Alas the series did not run for long as it was her performance in that got her drafted to also star in the Colby's.

I loved Kate O'Mara in The Mark of the Rani. She squared off against both the Doctor and the Master, and just rolled her eyes at their rivalry. The character was unusual in 80's Doctor Who; she had no interest in ruling the world/galaxy/universe, she was an amoral scientist who was only interested in furthering her research.

Too bad her other appearances, Time and the Rani and Dimensions in Time, were awful scripts.

I thought it said that Kate Mara had died. I thought "wow, she hasn't aged well".
