Well, Sundays are traditionally the American day of irrational power worship so this seems about right.

Off topic but semi-related: I got a Forbes, because the library has a paucity of good magazines. I could care less about business but it would pay to read some good business and economics journalism that isn't fluffing. If anyone is familiar, does Forbes do and have that? The first thing in the magazine was Steve Forbes railing against Obamacare and then bringing up doctor assisted suicide as a slope towards Nazi Germany, so I'm having second thoughts about picking it up. Thanks.

The Economist is a little better.

That's one of the magazines my library doesn't carry. Oh well. I'll just read fewer magazines.

She looks too stupid to possess both the introspection to ask that question, and the mental acuity to answer it.

Too many cucumber martinis the night before, from the looks of it.

Not like she went into this with blinders; have to say she has been soundly beaten in the watchable department by the Bloomberg girls who make my Wall Street loses fun to watch. Now that she is on Faux she will have to give up any pretense of factual reporting.

I really enjoy how the central conceit of Fox Business was that CNBC wasn't pro-business enough.

Keep in mind that all of these talking head "experts" who talk endlessly about how horrible the ACA will be for all of humanity...have spectacular health insurance coverage completely paid for by huge corporations and have never in their lives had to struggle through finding coverage or the money to pay the premiums.

I would love for everybody on the show today to have to drop their insurance and see what it would be like getting new policies (if they could even get a policy due to preexisting conditions, age, etc.)...without using the ACA to do so.

Or how about making those who cheerleaded and passed the law in Congress and their staffs join the exchanges? Maybe make Harry Reid NOT exempt his staff from taking Obamacare. You know, 'cuz Obamacare is so great.

Now *that* would be something to see.

There's a mention of Qwest CEO Joe Nacchio in the Beast profile. Remember how Wired was on record with him saying he was being locked up for refusing to install backdoors in his company servers for the NSA, and everyone thought he was a tinfoil hatted crazy because there was no way all the other carriers allowed for extrajudicial surveillance on their customers?

      Good times, good times...

Maria who? Nobody watches Fox Business. And Kelly Evans is the new "it" girl at CNBC, very little ground lost after Maria defected.

You know how you can fix the job situation in America, Maria? Here's an idea: rich people need to quit working more than one job. Don't you work enough Monday thru Friday reporting on that stock market. Why do you need to work Sunday on a different show? Just think: An unemployed person could host your Sunday show and earn a decent living. But you have to hog up all the work for yourself.
