Closed door and hush-hush huh? The folks at Yale were NUTS to think that a department that admits students who write like this were going to keep that that shit secret. (By the way. . . that's the best review of the book I have read and the author of the book thinks so too.)

We are talking about the same school who knowingly let a student research work be tampered with then bad mouthed her when she presented video evidence while letting the asshole who did it leave the school without issue

Link to war criminal stories or it didn't happen. I'm not a history major and I'm not too big to admit that I'm lazy.

All you needed to do was read the two-paragraph story linked above, for a jump-off point to discvover the war crimes (anyone who was alive and sentient between 1969 and 1975 knows these:.

"Christopher Hitchens argued in his 2001 book "The Trial of Henry Kissinger," which presents evidence of alleged Kissinger abuses in Laos, Cambodia, Bangladesh, Chile, Cyprus and East Timor. "The two parentheses enclose a series of premeditated war crimes which still have power to stun the imagination."

Once at Rutgers David Halberstam spoke, but I was just told not to ask him for money.

    Damn, didn't get that email.

I have been advised, however, that we're not to park our cars on the west side of Hillhouse Ave because of street cleaning.

Power-hungry war-mongering maniac visiting campus? Nothing to see here, folks.

Big snow-clearing car coming down your precious street? ALERT, EVERYONE.

Most graduate students these days are also bloggers, so good luck with the "confidentiality" plan, Yale.

They don't actually expect it to be confidential. It's not like any untold secrets are going to be revealed.

They just want to keep news of the event quiet long enough that they can have it without the hassle of protesters outside.

Yale just got Kissinger's papers. I wonder if the talk is warning to young historians to wait until he dies to publish anything inflammatory...

I don't think that fucker will ever die.

(... which I'm actually OK with: Just let him grow ever older and enfeebled, like the Struldbrugs of Luggnagg, for all eternity. A fitting fate)
