My daughter had an American doll knockoff with a wonky eye she named Virginia. She lost interest in it and I gave it to an old boss of mine, whose son said the doll was possessed and used to move around the house.

I would like more info about the exact circumstances that led you to giving your boss an old American Girl knockoff with a bad eye.

Geez - first a Paula Deen cruise and now a swanky lunch with a hot date? Caity gets all the best gigs.

And that doll in the butterfly/geisha/Cleopatra drag looks a lot like Julie Kavner back when she was playing Rhoda's sister. I doubt that was the intent...

Before I clicked your link, I assumed it would be in regard to the fabulous Mme. Chantal Biya, First Lady of Camerooooooooon. But yours works perfectly, too. I wonder if they've ever met...

There was not a natural place for this photo in the post, but it's very important to me that you all see it:

I wonder if there's an Asian twin. Are there Asian American Girls, I wonder?

Do you have to bring an American Girl doll or can you bring any old doll? Stuffed animal?

You don't have to bring anything! (Just a pretty lady will do!)

Along one of the walls are rows of dozens of dolls that, I suppose, they give to those who show up doll-less.

One of the reasons I was so AMPED to go to this restaurant is because I spent the morning...working.

And . . . THIS is what finally spurs me on to commenting. Been to this restaurant once a year for the past 8 years for our annual "Trip to New York". It's a little less creepy for me since I have a couple of daughters. PRO: Never a line for the men's bathroom, as there are never any men. CON: The dolls keep falling out of their clip on chairs, which doesn't sound annoying until the 11th time I'm forced to pick up the damn doll of the ground. It's exactly as described only more so. It's awesomely terrible, or perhaps terribly awesome. I look forward to going every year, and despise myself for looking forward to it. So, 4 stars for sure.

We let them tell us what to do, but only because we were on their turf.

This series idea is funny, and I like it, but please heed the warnings: do not go to Guy's American Kitchen. Some friends and I thought it would be funny to go there once, just as a joke. It wasn't funny. It was the worst meal I have ever had in the US. I'm not being hyperbolic. It made me so angry that I started chain smoking that night, after 5 years smoke free. I like you guys, so I'm begging you: don't go there. Not even once.

Have you read the fake menu??? I read it every few months just to laugh at something. Besides the trajectory of my career.

"No way, she got to stare at us without me scowling at her. That's basically the nicest present I've ever given anyone."

This is basically my own life's biggest accomplishment. If I don't scowl at someone who really deserves it (read: most people), I sometimes pat myself on the back for it.

I hope the staff is proactive about sweeping up the doll droppings. The health department will be all over them.
