The bacteria in the yogurt counteracts the yeast. I'm not a doctor, though.

Ok. But how does eating affect the vaginas instead of the gut. Are my stomach and vaginas connected? Am I am idiot of not understanding? Are we talking about eating yogurt or shoving it straight up the twat? I am so confused about the science of it. HALP?

I have been saying this for a long time. BUTTER. Butter is better than margarine. Having butter on bread is not making you fatter. It is more delicous. I think if people just enjoy the food they have, they are less likely to become fixated with it.
Greek yogurt? Or that low-fat vagina yogurt that tastes like crap.

Yeah, anybody who's had a small cup of non-skim yogurt knows from experience, that shit is filling. I'm a 230-pound, 6-foot-even dude, and that and some cereal and coffee can easily hold me for six hours.

Butter is just better. I cook almost exclusively with Kerry Irish gold butter. It's the full fat business for reals.

Kerry Gold is everything. I'll occasionally substitute olive or sesame oil depending on the dish, but I firmly maintain people who use margarine, fat-free sprays and other fake butter substitutes are dangerous lunatics.

I've long suspected that "luge effect" as a T1 diabetic. If I take 2 units of insulin and consume an apple, I end up with higher blood sugar 1h later than if I take the same 2 units insulin and consume an apple and a glass of whole milk - which would in theory, require 3 units insulin, not 2. So I've suspected the milk was moving everything along before it could really rise my blood sugar.

    Yay milk.

It's potentially also the fact that the fats and protein present in the milk take a longer time to digest, which means (since everything gets mixed up in your tummy) the apple takes longer to digest as well, and the sugars enter your blood stream over a longer period of time instead of all at once.

I have type 1 as well, and I've found that anything fattier than 1% milk really, really slows down the absorption rate of whatever other food I've eaten with it. To the tune of almost having the "pizza effect", with a low blood sugar early on and super highs a few hours later. When I was on a pump, it was easier to fix, but on shots it's nearly impossible without a crapload of corrections.

It's funny how these things work and how much effort it takes sometimes.

Whole milk is equivalent to drinking cottage and cream cheese mixed. Any disgusting fuck who drinks it should be ashamed. Go for skim like a goddamn adult. You aren't a fucking Walton.

I would also point out what I call the Lean Cuisine effect, where mostly overweight people are eating the low fat crapp food to begin with and those not overweight eat a normal diet of normal food with no concern over the fat content.

Don't forget constantly dealing with insulin spikes from eating 'diet foods' that lead to more snacking and calories. Because thanks to believing that everything had to be low-fat, instead of people moderating total consumption of certain foods they buy them low-fat which means more carbs and sugar.

Yes, whole milk and butter are good for you. Yes, in moderation and as part of a varied diet high in fresh vegetables.

No, not that shifty antibiotic, factory-farmed shit you're buying at the grocery store.

Why does "organic food" turn people into smug, sanctimonious assholes? Do you think most people buy grocery store food to spite organic food? It's simply not financially viable for some, and hell, sometimes people just don't live near a Trader Joe's or Whole Foods.

      Ugh.

Why does equity-based moral superiority turn people into smug, sanctimonious assholes? Nowhere did my comment mention "organic food," but the simple fact of people buying factory-farmed, antibiotic-filled milk not being anywhere near nutritionally equivalent to something straight from a farm (pasture-raised, eating-real-food, not-constantly-artificially-inseminated-to-constantly-lactate-until-murdered-because-production-slows cows) doesn't make me smug, it makes me right.

No one is accusing anyone of buying anything to spite anyone. The problem isn't consumers; it's a USDA directed by large agribusiness to support a high-margin, low-overhead version of farming that is resource-intensive, destructive to the earth, cruel to animals and less beneficial to human health.
