So basically you bought in to a fake story that a woman you have decided to hate did something bad and now you are mad that this fake story is not true. Jezebel is on a role lately. . .

I am positive that Gwyneth could gain all the weight and still find a way to be completely insufferable. It's her gift.

I don't have too much of an opinion about her but selling $90 white t-shirts is a bit ridiculous.

I wouldn't care if she was 90 pounds or 400 pounds.

I dont dislike her because she's thin, I dislike her way of making it seem like her cooking/clothes/etc are accessible for everyone! Not everyone has a fucking pizza brick oven outside their backyard. She also seems snotty, bitchy and down right blah. I could be wrong, if I am please correct me!

AND I HATE THAT SHE THINKS SHE'S GANGSTA!!! ALSO ANOTHER EDIT I HATE THAT SHE THINKS SHE SPEAKS CATALAN, becuase she spend a summer in Spain. I JUST HATE HER.

This. I'm not a fan of Gwen, either. No amount of weight-gain or loss is going to change that. To suggest to someone that it is their body that is the repellant? Well. There is such a thing as an overeating disorder. Comments like the one given to Gwen is a great example of how such things begin. Way to (not) be body-positive, jerky editor!

I dislike her, but I think she has an amazing body. I can't even be that closed off to think she needs to gain or lose, that's her business. I just hate everything else about her.

Or if they stop acting like they should tell regular people how to live... People seem pretty okay with Gwen Stefani.

They had nothing, huh? It doesn't surprise me. Gwenyth may be out of touch, but my understanding (from an employee of hers) is that she's actually a lovely person.

Was the employee of hers chained at the time? Perhaps s/he was blinking out an SOS, and you failed to notice?

She's someone I talk to pretty regularly, and GP really helped launch her personal chef career, so no, not so much.

      Here's what I want:

Let's all stop reading these magazines. Let's stop thinking about actors and musicians and dissecting their lives and do something else with all that free time. Think of all the quilts I could finish! Mittens I could knit! Cookies I could bake and then eat!

I care about this shit because magazines and, to a lesser extent, the Internet and TV make their lives look glamorous and so much better than mine. And I'm envious and trying to live vicariously through each blurb and photo. But how is my life enriched by knowing where Benedict Cumberbatch is at this exact moment? (Apple Store, London, I hate that I know this and also what he's wearing and when he's worn it before. [Somebody needs to buy that man another shirt.]) I could have sewn on my quilt binding during that 20 minutes!

We - I - need to escape the claws of celebrity culture. But is it possible? Doing that would mean I'd have to stay away from Jezebel, but I like the comments and camaraderie. Anybody else have this problem?

Totally agree. Unfortunately I can't go into a business meeting or attend a fucking Girl Scout camp weekend with my 8 year old without being subjected to insipid conversations about Miley Cyrus and Kourtney Kardashian. It's the new small talk. I wish I could lie and say I don't know who these people are, but as an owner of eyes and ears, that's a tough one.

I like her just fine. She is over the top and spoiled and ridiculous but at least she is honest about it. She doesn't live a fabulously wealthy lifestyle and pretend to be just a regular chick and I appreciate that. She has a crazy diet and exercise routine and is honest about that, too. None of this "I live on cheeseburgers but my metabolism rocks" or "breastfeeding made me lose 50 lbs and tone up" nonsense. I will never relate to her lifestyle and I don't need to, but I'm not going to knock her for it either.

The cocktails she recommends in GOOP are actually impeccable, so yes. For instance, she gets mixologists to share their secrets: http://goop.com/journal/make/1...
