WHAT is with the pleasant music???? That is the creepiest thing I have experienced in a long time. I feel like maybe I should get waxed to music like this, not see someone about to die.

Well, well. The woman was incredibly foolish, as are all the people with her, but at least she was all happy, on vacation, running to the water, then, poof!

I think it's actually kind of beautiful. Just think about all the ways you could die; she went happy running towards the ocean and was out in an instant. Considering the crazy painful ways any of us could go, it was quick and she was in high spirits. When it comes to death IMO she got lucky.

Exactly. Being quite near the finish line myself, I often think that I would appreciate a quick, happy, surprise exit like this one!

Extra color is a great way of phrasing it. My lizard part of my brain always gives me the "THIS ISN"T RIGHT NONE OF THIS IS RIGHT" when you get that color in the sky.

      There. I fixed it.

When it's storming in Sao Paulo, you avoid the beach and Congonhas airport. Duly noted.

          Been there; done that.

Originally from Alabama, granddaughter of a family farmer... Me and granddad used to sit on the porch and watch the storms roll in. It amazes me to this day how many people just don't know to get the hell in out of what is clearly an approaching lightning storm. You can smell it, for the love of all that's holy.

That's what got me moving during the Tibetan Freedom Concert: I could smell the storm coming. I was in an exit immediately prior to the young lady getting struck by lightning, yelling at my idiot friends who'd decided to stay. Literally in the middle of a sentence like, "Y'all ain't gonna be satisfied til someone gets struck," which was my grandmother's famous last phrase before she'd leave me and Granddad on the porch, in the metal glider. Sure enough...

And nothing smells like a close-by lightning strike, either. Like... the cleanest, silvery-est air you've ever tasted. Tangy and sharp, like a stainless steel knife.

OK. What the fuck. Nice try pretending to be some girl from Alabama with a farmer grandpa. But I recognize your writing, Stephen King.

Technically he captured the exact moment before and the exact moment after. But that's fine, I don't guess I needed to see someone being electrocuted. Eek.

WTF? If you're going to go with wacky music, at least do it right:

..I hate when they do that.
