    Read the article people!! It's not so sad. All the cats lived long lives and brought goodness to those around them.

    If for nothing else but to learn of Homer and of Arnie.

    - Homer was eyeless yet a valiant protector
    - Arnie was a stray who became an interspecies caregiver.

      Oh, for the "Pentagon Papers" era when the New York Times was taken seriously. (Back to my latest issue of "Cat Fancy" Magazine, which surprisingly doesn't have a 2013 tribute section. Because it is "Cat Fancy" Magazine, and has better taste and higher quality journalism.)
