    She's been called a "militant feminist," "crazy," and "scary." "Radical," too, and not the way Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles mean it when they say it.

    "Radical feminism" is a specific movement and school of thought, despite being used so frequently to mean "feminism I think is too extreme". I'm not familiar with Pillard, but just because Ted Crus and Chuck Grassley are upset with her also doesn't mean she's definitely not a radical feminist.

      Radical Feminist is a label used to keep strong women silent. You'd think that men would at least try to hide their fear of women after watching capable women in office over the past year actually get things down while Tea Party males sit around with thumbs up their asses.

      Ima look her up, but I'm guessing that if she got this far in the judicial system, she's a strong feminist, but not necessarily of the actual radical school.

    She is currently one of my professors, and if I had to pick ONE person to be a fedral judge, she would be it. I am in awe of her brilliance, poise, and how she justs ~*knows*~ things. And she is so incredibly kind and fair. And she has a reverence for the judicial system and the Constitution that only comes from really loving and understanding what it's all about. I can't say enough good things about her and I am SO happy for her. She truly deserves it.

      Fucking finally. I know most courts are considered backlogged but this Circuit Court is a nightmare to deal with. It can take years just to get on the docket. Not to mention the 3 spots open on the DC Court of Appeals bench. And the Circuit Court is considered to be the 2nd most important court in the US. Imagine SCOTUS having vacancies that lasted for years.

      If you want to talk about Government inefficiency it's because of nonsense like this - people refusing to confirm perfectly qualified candidates over nothing.
