    I'm not the hugest Sen. Alexander fan, but I can't really see it being likely that this guy knew about his employee's child porn stash. I can't really see that being a topic that comes up much at work. It also appears that Sen. Alexander is doing everything right by placing the guy on unpaid leave and cooperating fully with the investigation. If people are seriously considering not voting for him because of that, well then those people are morons.

      Yeah, we don't usually blame employers because their employees are horrible people on their own time.

      If it was something like stealing from the campaign then I could see how his not picking up on something like that reflects how on top of things he is and his management.

      But people who are into stuff like child porn seem just like everyone else. There is no way you can know.

      Agreed. I wouldn't vote for him (I'm not Republican) but I feel badly for the Senator. It would really stink to have your name associated with something so rotten and have nothing to do with it. Plus, I imagine he is pretty close to this guy and the personal disappointment alone would be really hard to deal with.
