    What kind of crazy PR team do they have? Any halfway decent media consultant could tell you the way this is supposed to work: at the very least, you say you're conducting a full internal investigation, then you come out with a statement that you've "reviewed the current policies, addressed the problem, and will make sure it doesn't happen again," then you apologize and implement new policies.What you DO NOT do is say you're conducting a full internal investigation and then come out with a statement that you've "reviewed the current policies and have come to the conclusion that we did nothing wrong, bitches."

        Barneys: The NYPD have been in the news a lot for questionable conduct. We'll pin this debacle on them.

        NYPD: We are aware that Barney's is trying to nail us for their own bad conduct. We are not happy to oblige, but in truth, we are simply extending our racial profiling model into stores. Any excuse will do. We can't say that publicly though.

        I think there's plenty of blame to go around. How refreshing would it be if someone, anyone, said "we screwed up."
