By coincidence, one of the new hires in my office just asked another if they knew "how to fax things".
Like he'd had this weird request from someone and 'fax' was a word he had never said before.
The other person thought for a second and said "no".

My niece, a college freshman, does not understand how an ice cube tray works. For her, ice always came out of the refrigerator door or a soda fountain by pushing a lever.

Well, I think most people e-mail things these days. Fax is becoming obselete. I've only used one maybe 20 or 30 times in my life, and I'm 28. I could see someone younger never having used one.

I just read that with a 'Marky Mark and The Funky Bunch - Good Vibrations' riff running, and it totally worked.

I can't keep track. One day it's this subterranean working man's schtick. Next time you see them, it's loincloths and football pads. Who knows what we will get once the fax machine has its way with them?

It's the perfect mashup of a '60s pop song and the collected works of Gertrude Stein. Hypnotic and hilarious - and somehow tragic ("bye now hey I'm hey it's. it's ...hey").

This is exactly like the very early Philip Glass/Robert Wilson librettos.

It kind of reads like the ghost of Jack Kerouac is inhabiting the machine.
