I really hate these old actors that get all bitchy. I don't see them turning down the money. The interviews are part of it. Period. Billy Bob Thorton. Liam Neeson. Bruce Willis. Val Kilmer. George Clooney has handled every moment with style and grace. Why must you be such assholes? It's just a couple of questions. You don't have to haul out the trash or anything later.

The man's a carpenter. Have you ever asked a carpenter an endless string of stupid questions before?

I don't get it...he clearly hates, HATES, interviews. It's so awkward watching or even reading interviews with him that I don't bother anymore. So according to rumors he's leveraging the upcoming Star Wars movies in order to get a treatment for another Indiana Jones movie. He understands that if he does all those movies there will be MORE interviews asking the same stupid questions, right?

He hates it, but it's part of his contract, so must be done.

I was expecting something off the wall like some of his late-night talk show appearances. But his answers were in fact great. The inteviewer was lazy and Ford simply didn't play softball. Good for him. I mean starting off by saying:

You've had a disproportionate amount of success with science fiction: the Star Wars trilogy, Blade Runner, now Ender's Game—
    That's three out of forty-one.

Although it's three of the more prominent ones, right?
    If you say so.

Ha. And the ending even nicer.

What was it like filming a space movie in the age of CGI? Does it force you to work differently?
No. Acting is about using your imagination.

Is there a trick to making seemingly ridiculous dialogue like “When the aliens first invaded...” work?
Yeah. That's my job. That's why I get paid.

I can hear him deliver that. Got to love Harrison Ford.

I completely agree. The questions got the answers they deserved.

This makes me want to punch the interviewer in the face. He's interviewing Harrison Ford and asking him if CGI makes him work differently? An intelligent person might have noted that he's already been working with CGI for a while now, and asked him questions about this particular set and the challenges it presented.

Then again, that would have required more research than this idiot apparently cared to put in.

Harrison seemed a bit cranky in that interview...looked like he was terribly annoyed throughout it.

I love interviews where the subject is clearly exasperated and/or unimpressed by the interviewer. See also this interview with Amy Sedaris from "The Awl":

I read the Ginger Baker interview first. The Harrison Ford one needs work to get up to Cream level.

Honestly, I've been doing the same for 25 years and if someone wanted to interview me about it - yes, they would get short, curt answers. FTW.

I have to kind of sympathize with any actor being interviewed by an unprepared idiot.

You're interviewing Harrison Ford. His long and storied career is a fucking given. Opening up with a question about this? Not exactly starting off on the right foot.

This reads like it was done by an intern, but from the looks of it this guy has had a career of this for a little while. Is his long list of credits because he's popular? Or does he keep getting bounced around because no one knows how to tell him he's bad at it?
