So what I got out of that interview, which was sort of a fascinating fly-on-the-wall experience between two interesting people, is that I apparently need to get myself to Slovenia—which never occurred to me before today.

Also, I don't mind being shilled to, if it's by Bill Murray - even in a contrived interview in Esquire about his new vodka.

I know more about the "author" than I do about Bill Murray after reading this. It's not even an article... it's just a transcript of some privileged dude's bro-tastic phone conversation with his fame crush. Shut up about how you spilled your mother-in-law's yummy schnapps on your crispy new EU passport and do some fucking journalism.

Basically. Murray literally asked more questions than the Esquire "interviewer".

Someone tell me something bad about him, I shouldn't like someone this much.

I'm hazy on this so check further into it if you're interested but I think he has some domestic violence issues in his background? Maybe i'll read up on it, I'd actually like to know more...

If Bill Murray was a regular commentator, I might become a baseball fan. Is there anywhere you can hear a recording of his Cubs' game?

    "Made a large man cry"...?

Didn't read the article, but is it safe to assume he's talking about Chevy Chase?

What a nice, true guy. I had a semi relative who was a biggish star for awhile in the '80's, and so I got to meet a few stars back then. It was an eye opener. I found out that it takes a little bit of crazy to need to be a star, and a lot of neediness, and those psychological holes never get filled by fame, they just get bigger.

I wish Bill Murray would work more, I wish he would work all the time.

True story: My dad used to hang out with a guy who dated Kirstie Alley before she was famous.

He said she was one of the most insecure people he'd ever met, constantly checking her appearance, adjusting her makeup, fishing for compliment, etc.

And this was when she was young, and HOT. Before her weight yo-yo'd back and forth and she went semi-crazy.

I still love the story about him walking up to a guy, stealing some of his food, and eating it while telling him, "No one will ever believe you."

Really? only $9,000? What a bargain, since it's the role that made so many people like him.

Earlier in his career, he seemed a smug asshole we were commanded to like. Either he changed, or I did.

What a cool article. I am even more in love with Bill Murray than ever... And the author is pretty cool too.
