Has twitter explained how they have monetized their service yet? Until there is a clear understanding of their financial value, the IPO purchasers are rolling the dice.

The plan is to get idiots to invest millions of dollars, then spend those millions of dollars on huge salaries, bonuses and other nice things. It's win-win. No conceivable downside!

Don't forget the plan to spend it on expensive but not filling lunches for the worker bees.

My friend was a producer at an SF news station and she got one of these talking puppets as swag and I coveted that thing so hard, which was and is pretty stupid, but there you have it.

    ETF stupidity.

Check eBay and make sure to get the talking version. He was sort of "gay" in one of the commercials I saw back in the day. Also, he had a run in with the insult dog.

I couldn't find any on eBay, and besides I wanted her to just give it to me, she has so much swag, it seemed fair. I didn't know it was Michael Ian Black as the voice did you?

In earlier years the boom-and-bust cycle took a while to play itself out, but here in San Francisco we've decided to ride this train twice in less time than you generally count a complete generation. Its as though everyone's memory has been wiped clean of the years 1999 to 2001.

Funny, when it talks about getting a sock puppet, I assumed this meant they were going to get Pando to write a glowing article on them.

I wonder if a big part of this issue is that this industry is so dominated by the youths. There are a lot of silicon valley CEOs who were 16 when the last bubble burst, and they are certain that what they're doing is way more interesting and important than what was going on in the late 90s.

The bankers and lawyers certainly should know better, but they get paid no matter what the fuck happens.
