Instead of making "revenge porn" laws, maybe consider you know, not video taping stuff you don't want anyone else seeing? It's just common sense.

This is what happens when you piss off a sociopath. Take away their right to exploit people and they go berserk. But I'm sure this is the only time when he's cared about "American freedoms" and all that.

You're a shitty human being if you upload private pictures to the internet, that someone sent you in confidence that they would be for your eyes only. That's just not right. And it sickens me that so many people do it.

Yeah, I've been in situations where after a long term relationship with long periods apart when photos were shared and later on things went south, and it never even for a second crossed my mind that "hey you know what would be a good (or not at all totally morally abhorrent and somewhat sexual harassment) way to get back at them, sharing something with the whole world that was privately shared as a tender gesture during the relationship!" or to do anything with them besides delete them, sigh, and get back on with my shitty life (lol). Where do people think that this is an acceptable behavior at all, or that there is any legitimate first amendment violation in creating a law finally declaring that this is illegal and violating the other person?

It boggles me that people even KEEP naked photos of people who have left them. The only dude I know who sends/gets a lot of nudes is adamant in getting rid of them when he's sure those people are done with him, and I'd imagine that should be the standard way to handle them.

There are a lot of people making the "if you don't want your nudes on the Internet, don't send nudes". This is a really terrible solution to a huge problem.

First of all it shifts the blame in what is definitely a sex crime from a person who did nothing wrong (a person who shared a picture they had every right to take to a person they wanted to send it to, which is fine because they have rights over their own body and can make that call) to a person who is exploiting them (a guy who shared a private photo with a large group of people without the consent or knowledge of the original sender). That's insane. Yes, if the nude didn't exist it couldn't be put up on a website. But what the argument ends up sounding like is "PUT YOUR CLOTHES BACK ON YOU DIRTY, DIRTY WHORES! DON'T YOU KNOW THAT WE ARE SUPPOSED TO MAKE YOUR SEXUAL DECISIONS FOR YOU?" It is okay to send someone photos of your own body. It is not okay to show someone else's body to people if they don't want you to do that. It's like inviting a group of peeping tom's up to someone's window, then saying that they shouldn't have been naked near a window if they didn't want a crowd of sex offenders to whack it in their bushes.

We make a lot of rules and assumptions to protect "stupid people". Some of them prevent predatory scum like this from profiting off its victims. Others are made to allow people to trust each other and civilization in general can continue.

The FCC ideally prevents "hustlers" from making medical claims that they have not been tested for. This is so "stupid people" do not have to do double blind trials on every product they buy or examine the concentration of all pharmaceuticals they buy.

It WAS assumed the few trusted institutions like S&P and Moody's would accurately rate investment options since that is all they do. This misplaced trust in these "hustlers" was a major factor in the 2008 banking crisis that effected the "stupid people" not directly involved in investment and includes pretty much everyone in the world.

Price gouging laws prevent "hustlers" from charging exorbitant fee for water and gasoline in times of emergencies from "stupid people" who didn't hoard all available resources.

And it just goes on like this. Say what you want about the bill but his specific defense of his actions is either facetious or down right stupid.

Absolutely mean to say, but is it alright if I wish this guy would get hit by a bus and see his mangled remains on the road? And just for good measure, have the bus do a u-turn and run over him once more to make sure the deed was carried out to fruition? Evil thought I know... I'm ashamed :(

Hey, this shit-stain deserves at least a couple broken bones. I know that he's a professional troll and he makes money by stirring shit up, but what the hell kind of excuse is that? He's disgusting on myriad different levels and adds nothing positive to society. He also reads like a malicious child with tourettes.

A lot of people making the "don't take a picture of yourself naked!" comments don't seem to realize how easy it is to take a photo of someone without them knowing or posing for it.

Not that even if they did makes it acceptable, but you know. Further dimension.

That's right, guys. Encourage women to never participate in any sort of sexytimes with you, in fear that after it's over you'll turn into a raging asshole and share it on the internet. It's definitely in your best interest to encourage women to never be naked for you.

If you wander around a neighborhood trying every car handle, and you find one that's open and steal everything inside it, does that mean what you did was not a crime but rather "smartly making money off someone's dumb mistake"?

No, you're still a thief who deserves to be locked up.

If you enter unlocked homes until you find one in which a teenage girl resides & you enter her bedroom while she's changing clothing, does that mean you have the right to rape her?

            Go kill yourself.
