MyTime is free to use. You pay for your appointments through the app (which is how MyTime makes money), but you're not billed until after the appointment. Plus, since you can choose appointment times that work for you, MyTime offers discounts for off-peak hours where the business is light on customers (and you won't have to wait to be seen). Hit the link below to learn more or grab the app in the iTunes App Store.

NOT free to use... free for customers to use. They charge non-promoted businesses 3% (for credit card processing). In addition to that, promoted businesses get charged 40% of the revenue from each new customer's first transaction.

In all likelihood, that 3% transaction fee that MyTime is charging the businesses will get rolled right over to the customers as a 'convenience fee'. So, probably not really free for end customers when all's said and done.

With that being said, this still looks like a pretty interesting proposition. I spent nearly a half hour yesterday morning trying to reschedule an eye doctor appointment — something like this that let me see the doc's available schedule slots would have been really nice. I'd be happy to pay some service fee for that convenience (though probably not an uncapped 3% transaction fee...)

@spcagigas You're right, it's free for consumers, but there is a 40% commission for businesses that ask MyTime to *promote* them (this is optional, btw). The 3% transaction fee just covers the usual credit card fees that we incur, and the business would have incurred anyway if they processed the credit card. We have never seen a situation where the business charges more on MyTime than they do in person. It's usually the opposite, since most businesses allow us to drop their price during offpeak times. Thanks for the comment!

Hey, awesome. It lists open service appointments this afternoon at my neighborhood Chrysler/Jeep dealer that CLOSED LAST JULY and is now a big hole in the ground.

Did MyTime actually make arrangements with each provider, or is it just using the Yellow Pages? That would be disappointing to set up an appointment and find out the provider has no clue what MyTime is and has no appointments free at that time. I've already had that problem with ZocDoc.

Had a small issue with the web page not updating to my location, but it seems to be a tad better now after re-loading
