      At least at the crappy casino here in NYC, Baccarat seems to be dominated by Asians. They carry around these notepads and I have tried to learn it once and was totally confused.

      They are cheating in the way that they use every scientifically possible (through psychology and statistics) and legally acceptable way to snatch people's fortunes, with the government being ok with this, only because they make huge profit from it as well. This is a grand example of the system promoting and living off the addiction of its citizens, instead of doing whatever it can to relieve them of such addiction.

      Would have been interesting, but I'm not exactly surprised they didn't report on the step-by-steps for marking cards. That's like saying "I liked the story about the celebrity stealing a car, but I wish they'd have included do-it-yourself instructions on how to bypass an ignition system." Aside from encouraging people to try their hand at a life of crime, it doesn't really add anything informative to the story.

      What a terrible place to go down. That is a sad casino out in the middle of no where and doesn't serve alcohol. Also, the money he stole was taken from a Native American tribe - couldn't he just have stayed in Vegas and stole from a large corporation, at least?

        I can't stand that place. It's in the middle of fucking nowhere and there is, I believe, one restaurant in the entire joint that serves beer and wine. THAT'S IT. Remind me why everyone doesn't just go to Pala?

      I never understand poker players who play any other casino games. Poker is the only game in which you play against others, not the house. You know the rake, you can factor it into your money management, it never changes. The best players always come out ahead. Why go fucking around with that?

        I would beg to differ. You can, with a card-counting system and a team, tilt the blackjack odds in your favor up to about 1.5%, but you won't be allowed to play long enough to make it worth it. Playing poker, you will always be "losing" to the house, in the form of the rake, but it's a set amount that you've agreed to pay. If you're even just slightly better than Ma and Pa Kettle sitting at their first-ever 2-5 table then you can bleed them dry and everyone else behind them who can't help but overplay top pair, and the house will keep bringing you ice-cold milk and swiping your comp card.
