    I just love them and I get all excited and feel all the fuzzies for them. I long for close female friendships, but I have trouble forming and keeping them. Tastee and Poussey are my patron saints of friendship.

      Your comment made me a little sad. I'm a big believer that female friendships are extremely important to women. I'm sorry you've had a hard time finding and keeping them. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that you meet some cool ladies soon and you're able to maintain those relationships for a while. I owe a lot to the ladies in my life and I think I'm a better person because of some of the very strong women I have had the pleasure of knowing!

      Thank you! I'm working on it. I have PTSD and I think I've formed a bad habit of pushing people away when I start to feel close to them. I'm in therapy now and slowly branching out.

        I love that they're all friends — constantly posting pictures of them hanging out, tweeting their support for one another, and talking in interviews about how rare but wonderful it is that the cast is female-dominated. As if I didn't need another reason to love this show.

          The casts' Instagrams are freaking goldmines of adorableness and gorgeousness.

          I think it's really cool that a) most of them are previously unknown talent and now are breakout stars, b) they all seem to have lots of other things going on in their lives apart from OITNB (Flaca designs a clothing line, Pennsatucky is a DJ) and of course c) they hang out with each other ALL THE TIME.

          Samira Wiley recently had a twitter poll to chose a name for her fans. Samiratans won over Wiley's Coyotes. Le sigh... [/fangirl]
