My grandmother warned me when I was going off to college to become a 'super hero poverty eradicator and public health mafioso', to be careful because black people would just as soon shoot me as look at me. Oddly enough her 80 plus years of life experience with black folk did nothing to preclude this thought process.

Oh, but the black people she knew were different, not like other black people - and she probably complimented them about that fact.

Hamilton, your liberal bullshit never ceases to amaze me. Yes, sure, fine, judging entire swaths of the population based on dress and skin color and our own willful ignorance of cross-cultural understanding is morally reprehensible. But (and I implore you to consider this point for once), BLACKS. Blacks, Hamilton. What are we, in White America, to do about the blacks? They're so unseemly when they, you know, act the way they do. It's White America's burden to protect these unfortunate souls from themselves, by locking them in (highly profitable private) prisons for their own good. What is so hard to understand about that? I, for one, applaud Ms. Parker for her bravery in standing up to the oversized britches of Big Black America.

Why do my eyes inevitably glaze over whenever I see someone using the word "liberal" as a pejorative? I just know that everything that's going to come after it will be senseless nonsensical nonsense. It's a true Pavlov's Dog response.

Can't we give her a pass. She can't help herself. She was raised this way by THOSE kind of people. It's just in her nature, upbringing, and flawed educational system.

Isn't her failure really all of our failures?

Maybe if the white community stepped up and took responsibility for raising their kids with her total lack of responsibility and respect for the community. We can't just keep giving "them" a free pass.

So, hiring illegal immigrants to watch my children watch television and play video games isn't doing it right?

This shit again. These scared fucking white people projecting their guilty conscience and animalistic views of minorities. They just can't imagine after blacks being treated so horrible how they could possible have any self control. Almost every single white person I knew acted like 13% of the population was gonna go all General Sherman and Raze the shit out of Atlanta again. But this time it would be the whole United States! Meanwhile I reminded them their pasty white occupy compatriots were treated with no shortage of teargas and rubber bullets. What do you really think would happen if you had an ACTUAL large crowd of "unruly" black people? You can't even stand outside of a restaurant in South Carolina with your family for 2 hours without people feeling threatened. I promise you uppity black people going around demanding justice these days would be met with a swift militarized response.

Fuck Kathleen Parker. I've felt that way about her ever since I saw her running down Santa Monica from the old Sears with a TV set in her arms during the LA riots.

The real debate here is: who the fuck uses the word 'britches'? This isn't 1760.

        King George. All of them.

This is, primarily, what the Revolutionary War was about. Our insistence on sagging our britches in elevators.

She's an idiot and completely wrong, and that's fine. The bigger issue is that she represents how the vast majority of white moderate-to-right-wing America feels. This is a serious, serious problem.

Oh! A "tele-graph" is kinda like an iPhone but from a time before iPhones. 1983 maybe? They didn't have auto-filling so sending a telegraph text was pretty hard. For example, to say "LOL", you wrote .—.-.-.-.—.-.-.-.-..-.-.-.-.-..-

The reason there aren't riots from this, compared to a reverse-race situation, is that under represented minorities in our country are already accostumed to the stereotypes of their race by our society's beliefs and customs. White people don't need to riot against minority races because they already have the upper hand. They aren't in need of attention. The story about the boy who was killed, unfortunately so, was wildly covered in the media. Maybe it was because he was a foreigner. Maybe it was because of the utter disregard for human life that the murderers carried out. But in the end, some of it was because the victim embodied the majority of our country: a white male.
