    Really strikes me how Americans always complain there is a recession and it is hard to get by. Work hard and you can succeed. The only reason I am not on this list is that I prefer the plastic arts. I like to make things with my hands. I am very attractive and frankly look great with clothes on. I walk well. I once walked all the way around the block. No reason at all. The point is that I am good looking and I am willing to work hard. Back in the day that counted for something. Kudos to these folks that epitomize the acme of meritocracy and the rewards waiting for those that work hard.

    I had a good friend who was the in-house attorney for The Limited, back when they did the Victoria's Secret fashion shows at their headquarters, so I got invited regularly. I once stood in a small group of people that included Adriana Lima. I think she was 19 at the time. It was impossible not to notice that her eyes would change from blue to grey to purple to a light green, depending on how the light hit them. It was mesmerizing. She was, hands down, the most beautiful woman I'd ever seen in person. As far as I'm concerned, she should be the highest paid model, forever.

    What's really sad is that modeling is the only profession where women make significantly more than their male counterparts. With a few exceptions, women still make less than men in almost every other profession.

    How the hell is Adriana Lima making so much money? I don't get it. She doesn't really do much outside of Victoria's Secret. I don't even think she's done high fashion

    I'm surprised Karlie Kloss isn't on this list. I guess she might be on it next year

    Speaking of Gisele, can she go back to Victoria's Secret to show the new models how to fucking walk? 95% of them are fucking terrible on the runway. Their stupid kissy faces and random pointing to people in the audience and the camera. Like fucking stop. You don't look like models. You look like teenagers playing dressup, and your posing is no different than the dumb poses teenagers have in their Facebook pictures

      Stupid question here: how else does one incentivize a hot woman to show off her hot body for money? Please explain the difference between these two contract types.

        Incentive-based compensation means that instead of paying them money, agencies threaten to hurt/kill family members or beloved pets if the models are not sufficiently "fierce" on the runway and don't "work the camera" hard enough.
