        Maybe I'm missing something, but isn't her burn off-mark? Kurtz didn't author the article nor is he mentioned at all in it, so what's the point of Brown's reply?

          I took it to mean that she had an issue with his characterization of her work with Newsweek. It's also problematic to talk about how saving Newsweek was "probably impossible" if you were one of the reasons it failed.

            I guess it's a burn, but I think the British have a saying about protesting too much, as well. In the end, she bought a dying brand to strengthen her own brand, but Andrew Sullivan probably did more for her traffic than the Newsweek brand ever did. Now that he's gone indie, I imagine that place is doomed.
